RP1 Performance Pack Fitted
19,900.00
The Rega RP1 Turntable
Designed and engineered to achieve outstanding performance way beyond
the expectations of a product at this price point.
Excellent build quality, reliability and ease of use combine to make a
product which will offer a lifetime of musical enjoyment. Omitting all
the usual gimmicks allows us to concentrate the manufacturing costs on

costing two or three times the amount.
The
minimalist design of the Rega RP1 and the use of extremely high
quality components ensure that this turntable will last for many years.
The RP1 is the first in a new generation of Rega turntables
offering far greater performance than their predecessors.
We
are confident the performance of this amazing new product will impress
you. Rest assured the only thing entry level about the RP1 is the
price !

RP3 Turntable Cool grey/ Titanium / White with ELYS2

The Rega RP3 turntable.
The
RP3 has been designed and engineered to achieve outstanding performance
way beyond the expectations of a product at this price point. Excellent
build quality, reliability and ease of use combine to make a product
which, if used correctly, will offer a lifetime of musical enjoyment.
Omitting unnecessary gimmicks allows us to concentrate the manufacturing
costs on the high quality parts necessary to reproduce records
accurately. The RP3 is fitted with a brand new hand assembled RB303
tonearm, precision main bearing and a low vibration low noise 24v motor
assembly which is individually hand tuned to its circuit to further
reduce vibration.
DB Technology (Double Brace Technology)
"Mass absorbs energy - lost energy equals lost music"! Rega has
pioneered the use of lightweight rigid plinths. Clever use of
lightweight particulate core with a highly rigid phenolic resin skin
became the foundations of the high level of performance achieved by the
now iconic Planar turntable range. The RP3 takes this design philosophy
to the next level. A super lightweight plinth combined with a phenolic
resin double brace mounted specifically where the increased rigidity is
required (between the tonearm mounting and the main hub bearing) forms a
structurally sound "stressed beam" assembly. This rigid plinth design
prevents energy absorption and unwanted resonances which will add
unnatural distortions to the music. Equally, heavier mass can transfer
more unwanted energy such as motor or bearing noise directly into the
rotating record. The use of braces instead of the complete skin allows
double thickness phenolic resin in these key areas while providing
further weight reduction to the plinth which directly addresses the
issue of mass absorption and unwanted energy transmission.
RB303 Tonearm - Making the best better
Designed using the latest 3D CAD & CAM technology the new RB303 is the
culmination of more than 30 years of tonearm design experience. Due to
advances in technology we have been able to fine tune the iconic RB300
tonearm design. Featuring a brand new tube with increased rigidity to
the bearing housing, arm carrier and headshell coupled with intelligent
redistribution of mass ensure this arm will exhibit fewer points of
possible resonance. Extreme stability with almost friction free movement
from the high precision bearing assemblies guarantee to gather more
information from your vinyl than ever before.
Features:
RB303 tonearm

The Rega RP6 Turntable
The
RP6 has been designed and engineered to achieve outstanding performance

TTPSU power supply (pictured below)
The
compact TT-PSU uses a high stability crystal locked low distortion sine
wave generator. This, along with an efficient drive amplifier fed from a
stabilised DC power supply, generates a 24V AC balanced signal of less
than 0.05% distortion, which is completely un-affected by any changes in
the mains/line voltage and conditions. This then drives the improved
Rega anti-vibration circuit built into the RP6 motor PCB.

Platter adaptor
The
aluminium top hub adaptor is manufactured to the highest tolerance and
uses a six point mounting system to ensure the platter and vinyl is
presented as flat as possible to the stylus.

16MM Glass flywheel platter
The RP6 features an innovative two piece platter design constructed from
float glass. Manufactured using a complex and labour intensive invisible
UV curing bond technique the secondary ring platter is permanently
bonded to the underside of the main platter. The extra ring adds mass to
the outer circumference which increase the natural flywheel effect of
the platter improving speed stability, accuracy and consistency.
24V Low noise motor
The
motor is a high specification, 24V twin phase synchronous unit which has
the anti vibration circuit hand tuned to each motor and is controlled by
Rega's unique and innovative TTPSU power supply. The motor drives the
CNC machined pulley and sub platter/hub-bearing assembly via the belt
drive. |
P9
130,000.00
The P9 is, in our opinion, the ultimate
performance turntable available to the music-loving public. We designed
the P9 with no financial restrictions whatsoever. The ceramic platter
alone costs more to produce than our P5 turntable! With the right
cartridge, you will be astonished at just how much information this
turntable retrieves from your vinyl LP collection.
The plinth is a complex CNC machined
skeletal structure encased in highly ridged phenolic resin laminates.
The equivalent to the carbon fibre 'monocoque' chassis of the formula
one car - an ultra lightweight, ultra rigid foundation for this high
performance turntable. The plinth of the new P9 uses a brand new
material to hi-fi for the inner skeletal structure. It is an ultra
lightweight fibre composite. This results in the plinth being even
lighter than the previous Planar 9 and improves the performance.
The main bearing assembly is engineered
to extremely tight tolerances. This results in virtually friction free
rumble-less performance which, if lubricated correctly, will last your
lifetime!
The platter is quite simply the most
exotic material we have used to date in our turntable designs. It is
made from pure ceramic; a material that you would otherwise find on
missile nose cones or maybe insulation tiles found on Nasa's space
shuttle. The reason for using such an exotic and difficult to produce
material? It is the hardest material known to man apart from diamond!
The P9 carries a decorative surround of
exotic solid woods, which you can cleverly interchange if you so wish to
give a different appearance.
New technologies in CNC woodworking
machinery have allowed Rega to produce its first technologically complex
surround. The new P9 surround is considerably more attractive than its
predecessor and externally much larger although through clever machining
the new surround is lower in mass than the old which gives a performance
improvement.
The
external power supply unit is a quart crystal locked system. To ensure
accurate speed stability of the platter motor, two quartz crystal
control reference oscillators have been utilised. This system produces a
high frequency (3 MHz for 33 and 4 MHz for 45) signal, which is then
divided down to feed generously rated, high current power fet amps.
The output from these is very pure (<0.03 THD, this is a lower value
than many power amplifiers output). The beauty of this power supply is
that a dual phase is supplied to the motor, the phases of which may be
varied in relation to each other. This means that the power supply
phases are trimmed to eliminate all vibration from the motor. In turn,
this means that there is no need for plinth suspension, which would
ordinarily be required to eliminate motor resonance. |
We have replaced the RB900
with the all new RB1000. This tonearm takes thirty times longer to
produce than an RB300. At present there are only two of our most highly
trained and experienced technicians that can build this exotic tonearm.
The RB1000 carries more technological
changes over previous Rega tonearms than any produced during the last
twenty years! Key areas of improvement can be found in the bearing
assemblies, wiring and materials used. We have worked to redistribute
and reduce mass in areas of the tonearm where mass is critical to
performance. The easiest place to see these changes in evidence would be
the new polished aluminium arm tube. It has no coatings of any type. The
changes we have made over the RB900 have resulted in a tonearm with
extremely high structural rigidity, combining ultra low friction
movement together with massive stability. These attributes will make any
cartridge mounted on this tonearm work harder than they have ever worked
before. Do not be surprised if the first time you listen to familiar
music, you hear detail that you have never heard before!
